If you’re within reasonable driving distance (and even if you aren’t – 🙂 ), I hope you can stop in at Katy Budget Books this Tuesday (Oct. 23rd) at 6:30 p.m. I’ll be signing copies of PHOENIX UNBOUND. My awesome mother-in-law will be there with me for moral support, and Mr. Draven of course in all his silver-haired glory. So if you’re not interested saying hi to me, come say to hi to them. They’re far more interesting than I am anyway. 😀 And of course, it’s always awesome to support the small indie book stores.
Hope to see you there!

Really love your work and your characters. Waiting for the next story.
Thank you!
Disappointed fan here. While girl has a rough home life and gets sent to the wolves every year I see some flaws. A girl is taken in hand and has contempt for her captors. Then gets Stockholm syndrome and falls in love with her captor. I have extreme difficulty believing that the powerful girl you created would do any of that. If someone took me in hand, I wouldn’t be listening or hear a word they said. I would be either I kill you, or you kill me…story ends. That’s it for the series for me.
While this series start didn’t work for you, I hope you’ll continue reading in the FR genre. Authors such as Jeffe Kennedy, Amanda Bouchet, Mel Sterling, and Thea Harrison all have wonderful series out there for readers to check out. If you haven’t read them yet, I heartily recommend their work.
I love all your work. I disagree with the previous comment. I think the way you wove this tale shows that even though we are strong, we don’t always see ways out of our hardship, until something changes. Looking forward to your next story.
Thank you
Thank you, Julia! It’s a given that a book won’t appeal to all people for various reasons, and what works for one reader may not work for another. I’m very glad you enjoyed Phoenix Unbound. Thanks for reading!
